Grace & Harnadek Neuropsychology remains open at this time and is safe for clients. We want to reassure our clients that extra precautions have been put in place to ensure the safety of their health, as well as the health of our staff.
Globally, and in Canada, the COVID-19 outbreak is evolving quickly. However, according to the Middlesex-London Health Unit, the level of risk for residents of London and Middlesex County remains low.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include mild to severe illness consisting of: fever, cough, and difficulty breathing.
What You Can Expect
Note: The Middlesex London Health Unit has advised that all travellers returning to Canada from abroad are asked to self-isolate at home for 14 days, whether they have symptoms or not.
If possible, you will be contacted the day prior to your assessment to review your symptoms. This is intended to spare clients who are experiencing symptoms from travelling to the office if their appointment needs to be delayed.
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be screened to review if you have symptoms suggestive of possible COVID-19 exposure. These include the presence of respiratory symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing. You will also be asked if you have been outside of Canada over the prior 14 days, and whether you are currently under a quarantine recommendation.
You will be given reassurance that the staff working with you have also been screened and found to not be exhibiting symptoms.
All high-touch surfaces (door knobs, table tops, light switches, etc) will be disinfected prior to your appointment, and again following your session.
Proper hand hygiene practices are in place. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout your session for both you, and for staff, to use.
All test forms are “one-use” only. Your test forms have not been exposed to other clients.
IF YOUR APPOINTMENT NEEDS TO BE CANCELLED
if your appointment needs to be cancelled, rest assured that every effort will be made to reschedule for a more appropriate time and without penalty to you.
What You Can Do
If you have symptoms of fever, or cough or shortness of breath, you should contact Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 or the Middlesex-London Health Unit at 519-663-5317 for further assessment and guidance.
In addition, if you have symptoms, you should contact our office (519-657-0200) and leave a message notifying us. This helps protect our staff and other clients.
We ask that you clean your hands when you enter and exit the office. It is not necessary for you to wear a mask unless your health-care provider has recommended this.
